About Skills for Learning

Successful study at university involves developing good academic skills. Academic skills include the use of IT, numeracy, academic communication, problem solving, critical thinking, working with others and research skills.

Skills for Learning helps students at Leeds Beckett University to develop their academic skills through:

  • Workshops
  • Tutorials
  • Publications

The Skills for Learning website has a wide range of self-help resources which include podcasts, downloadable guides and video tutorials.

Tutorials and bookable workshops are also available to Leeds Beckett University students on academic communication, maths and statistical analysis, and IT skills. The workshop timetables are published on the Skills for Learning website.
