Being Enterprising

Being enterprising is not necessarily about developing entrepreneurial skills for business, but about developing 'enterprising' skills which will enhance your learning experience and employability. Even if you don't start your own business, you will be equipped with creative and problem-solving skills which will enable you to take an enterprising and resourceful approach to your academic study and future career.

What are enterprising skills?

At Leeds Beckett University 'enterprise' is defined as encompassing a range of skills which will help you cope at university and in the wider world. They include:

  • Motivation
  • Initiative
  • Networking skills

  • Presentation skills
  • Creativity
  • Self-confidence
  • Leadership
  • Team working
  • Investigatory skills
